Fees for physiotherapy

 

Reimbursement for physiotherapy comes from the supplementary insurance, unless it concerns a chronic indication OR you are under 18 years old. Read more about the reimbursements below. And ask your insurer if you are reimbursed for physiotherapy.

Additional insurance for physiotherapy reimbursement

Reimbursements from the additional insurance can vary enormously per insurer. Therefore, check your insurance whether your physiotherapist agreements are paid by your insurance.

• If you are over 18 years old, it depends on your insurance whether it is reimbursed.
• If you are under 18, 18 treatments are reimbursed per year.

Chronic Indication & Unlimited physiotherapy reimbursement

After surgery or hospitalization, the “chronic indication” rules apply. This can be confusing at times, so an explanation below.

• In the case of a chronic code, you will be referred by the specialist, and the first 20 treatments must be reimbursed from your additional insurance, OR you will be paid / supplemented by yourself until the 21st treatment.
• from the 21st treatment, the treatments are then reimbursed from the basic insurance and an unlimited reimbursement applies for one year after the operation / hospitalization.

Cancel & Missed Appointment

• If you cannot come to an appointment, we ask you to cancel this at least 24 hours in advance; otherwise we are unfortunately forced to bill you for the appointment. The health insurer will reimburse the missed appointments.

Tip: check your health insurance if you are well insured for physiotherapy in 2020 as well!

 
• Are you over 18 years old, then it is up to the additional insurance or physiotherapy to be reimbursed. So it may be that you have treatments left over for this year!

 

• Children under 18 get 18 basic insurance treatments reimbursed .
